The Nebraska Children’s Home Society reaches out to women and teens with unplanned pregnancies; builds, strengthens and supports adoptive, foster and biological families; and offers early intervention programs. Since 1893, NCHS has provided safe and loving care to children of all ages. In order to provide our services to children and families, NCHS depends on the support of contributions, and bequests as over 80% of our funding comes from private donors.
Countless studies have proven that the strength of the family has a direct bearing on the vitality of a community. Strong family units lead to better academic success, less crime and poverty and less need for government assistance and support. The social and economic impact that the Nebraska Children’s Home Society programs have provided the state is impossible to measure.
Nebraska Children’s Home Society is more than an adoption agency. We help women facing unplanned pregnancies develop parenting or adoption plans, provide prenatal and parenting classes, foster care, early childhood development programs, and community & neighborhood–based services.
