About NCHS

I am the Co-Director for the Center for Biosecurity, Biopreparedness and Emerging Infectious Diseases through the University of Nebraska Medical Center. I have a very personal connection to NCHS, as both of my daughters were adopted through this organization. I am incredibly grateful to NCHS for helping support my family and me as we navigated the adoption process. I enjoy serving on NCHS’s Board and utilizing my strategic planning, business continuity, and facilitative leadership skills to continue the great work that NCHS does throughout Nebraska.

My work helps to bring awareness to NCHS. NCHS provides services and education that are unmatched. I'm able to help generate ideas on how to bring awareness to families who might need NCHS services no matter where they are at in life and provide consulting on how to execute those ideas. In today's world, we are blasted with information from all angles. My challenge to solve alongside NCHS is - how can we cut through the noise with messages that make an impact?

I am proud to support families in becoming more aware of supportive services, further educated upon best practices to maneuver through triumphs and challenges, as well as promote collaboration in sustaining a healthy environment for all generations.

As a board member and as a leader of a non-profit organization focused on serving disadvantaged communities, I play a pivotal role in building a safe and loving home for children by fostering collaboration, inclusion, and advocacy. Through my unwavering commitment, my work ensures that the voices of all stakeholders are heard and valued, working closely with community partners to create an environment that promotes the well-being and development of every child. By championing inclusive policies and advocating for necessary resources, my work is intended to pave the way for nurturing homes where children can thrive and experience the love and care they deserve.

I work with small businesses to provide resources and lending, that starts with mentorship. The mentorship aspect takes place with the business but also on a personal side. Building generational wealth and providing jobs for families is one of our goals and I take pride in helping businesses and families thrive through my work.

I think it is important to provide a different outlook and be able to bring other talents to the group. A new person can bring a fresh new look at things.

You will be hard-pressed to find anyone more passionate about marketing. As the founder of full-service, boutique advertising agency KidGlov, I am surrounded by a talented team with the mission of putting a megaphone in front of those who are doing good - like NCHS. I have been inducted into the Lincoln AMA Hall of Fame and have been named Lincoln AMA Marketer of the Year. I have also been recognized with the American Advertising Federation of Lincoln’s Silver Medal, Inspire Women’s Leadership Award for Excellence in Entrepreneurship, am a member of the AMA National Diversity, Equity and Inclusion CoHort, and have received the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certification from the University of South Florida. I have spoken nationally and internationally on a variety of topics, including purpose marketing and nonprofit marketing.
